How to Repair Leather Jacket

How can you repair the sleeves on your leather jacket when the edges are cracking, without making the leather weak or super soft?

If you have any loose edges, you can actually tack them up with a small dab of rubber cement which is sold at most grocery or retail stores. If the edges are not torn but just starting to look rough, one of the best options is for you to use a combination of mink oil and beeswax.

Typically this concoction is sold as paste, making it easy to apply. While it helps to improve those rough spots, it does soften but not too much. This combination will also help preserve the leather and prevent stains.

How to Care Motorbike Leather Jackets

Motorbike Leather Jackets are trendy and often costly. Keeps your Leather Jacket looking its best for years to come by taking proper care of it from the moment you bring it home. Apply a quality protecting spray to prevent damage from the elements. Follow the manufacturer's care instructions and enjoy your jacket year-round no matter what weather Mother Nature brings. Read on to learn how to care for a leather jacket.
Motorbike Leather Jackets

1) Always hang leather coats/ jackets on wide padded hangers. Use shoe trees in shoes and boots. Stuff empty handbags with tissues to retain their shape.
2) Do not store leather goods in plastic bags or other nonporous covers. If clothing must be stored in a garment bag, keep it open for ventilation.
3) Allow wet or damp leather to air-dry naturally away from any source of heat. Apply a little leather conditioner when the leather is nearly dry to restore flexibility. Follow this with a full conditioning treatment after the leather has completely air-dried.
4) In winter, promptly remove any salt deposits from coats, shoes and boots by sponging with clean water, then follow with the treatment recommended above for wet or damp leather. To prevent mildew, protect leather from excessive humidity.
5) In a dry environment, regularly condition the leather in order to prevent it from drying out and cracking.
6) Do not use waxes, or silicone formulas or other leather preparations that impair the ability of the leather to "breathe.

If you own a fine leather jacket then you've probably drawn a few looks here and there because of the style. Unfortunately over time, even a great leather jacket can turn ugly on you if it isn't properly maintained.

How to care Leather & Textile Garments

BELPAK - Furious Gear is a presumed Manufacturers & Exporters of Motorbike Leather & Textile Garments. At here we have given our products much thought to make them as good as we want them. This is true not only for their comfort and safety, but also for their longevity and good looks. However, to make sure that you get the most out of your Leather Motorbike Clothes and that they fulfill your expectations, some care and maintenance should be invested by you otherwise there is the risk that they will lose their function and their service life can become drastically shortened. These are valid reasons for taking care of your Motorbike Leather Garments – for comfort, safety and a long life. Wet clothes should be allowed to dry airily and slowly at room temperatures. Leather clothes should never be dried in heat, like on a radiator or in a drier. Belpak provide complete guideline regarding Motorbike Leather & Textile Garments care.

Leather Clothing:
Leather must never be allowed to dry out! Dry fibers become brittle and will tear quicker under extreme loads, like in an accident. To prevent this, leather should be greased regularly, to allow the fibers to keep their natural elasticity. If your leather becomes wet, allow it to dry at room temperature. (Never put leather in the dryer.) Then apply Paw People and Suede Protector. Buff suede with a soft towel to restore the nap.
If your garment has faux fur trim and the fur gets wet, dry it with a hair dryer set on the lowest temperature. Shake fur during the drying process, and periodically during wear to maintain loft and maximize appearance. If necessary, leather can be washed with a soft sponge and a mild soap solution or special leather soap. These are two measures, which prolong the service life of your leather clothes and also their capacity to resist the forces of nature.

Textile Clothing:

Textile clothes should be washed at regular intervals, according to the product information. After every third washing, the impregnation should be renewed. The protectors must always be removed before washing. Polyester and polyamide in textile clothes melt at 240-260°C. Therefore, always keep them away from hot objects, like silencers or exhaust pipes.
